So many folks who walk through our doors for the first time say, "Where has this church been all my life?" The Unitarian Universalist church is a liberal, non-creedal church where all people are supported on their spiritual journeys. We encompass and embrace a wide variety of beliefs, including folks who identify themselves as pagans, humanists, theists, agnostics, Christians, Buddhists, Jews, nature mystics, and seekers. Because we have a tradition of having faith in each person’s ability to discern his or her own spiritual path, no one belief system is taught or advocated. Our Sunday sermons and adult religious education programs focus on each person’s own exploration, and on developing tolerance and knowledge about the world’s religions. Our guidelines for our life together are summed up in the UU Principles and Purposes.
Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is a friendly, welcoming, joyful religious community that is very interested in meeting new folks. Come on and join us we think you will find this a refreshingly different kind of religion!
What is Unitarian Universalism?
At a Unitarian Universalist worship service or meeting, you are likely to find members whose positions on faith may be derived from a variety of religious beliefs: Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, naturist, atheist, or agnostic. Members might tell you that they are religious humanists, liberal Christians, or world religionists.
All these people, and others who label their beliefs still differently, are faithful Unitarian Universalists committed to the practice of free religion. We worship, sing, play, study, teach, and work for social justice together as congregations-all the while remaining strong in our individual convictions.

Apr. 24th: Dennis Reynolds, UU Ministerial Candidate– "Easter for Unitarian Universalists; It is about more than chocolate bunnies."
For those of us who may not belief in the literal truth of the bodily resurrection of Jesus, Easter has a different meaning than that celebrated by our neighbors. Let’s explore deep meanings that may be hidden along with the colored eggs.

May 1: Judy Zimmerman, UU Ministerial Candidate – “Before Words”
Our living tradition draws its faith from six sources. The first of these is "the direct experience of that transcending mystery and wonder, affirmed in all cultures, which moves us to a renewal of the spirit and an openness to the forces which create and uphold life." Such mysticism presents challenges for rational religionists. How might we live into this first source, yet maintain fidelity to the gift of our intellect?
Judy Zimmerman, a Candidate for the Unitarian Universalist ministry and seminarian at Meadville-Lombard Theological School will lead us in this exploration.
Children’s RE – Wonderful Welcome: “Gift of Protection”
May 8: Rev. Amanda Aikman – “Andy Goldsworthy, Artist of Deep Patience”
Andy Goldsworthy is an utterly unique artist who creates amazing impermanent works from purely natural materials, letting them melt, blow, or evaporate away when he has finished. Viewing and contemplating his work may inspire us to create in a similar mode, and brings us closer to a wordless, profound experience of unity with the natural world.

Children’s RE – Wonderful Welcome: “Gift of Acceptance”
Potluck: after Service 3rd Sunday, in the Fellowship Hall.
Please bring a dish and plan to stay for the potluck meal. It is a chance to socialize and build community. Label your contributions so we know what the foods are and who to send the dishes home with. [Please provide ingredients lists … we have many members with food allergies and/or restrictions.]
It has been suggested that for those who are willing and able, it would help cleanup if people brought their own place settings and took them home to wash along with their serving dishes. We have plenty of dishes for those who forget or don't have a way to comply, but by reducing the dishwashing after potluck, the kitchen volunteers can get out and enjoy their Sunday afternoons sooner.
Board Meeting (12:15 –)
